Today's Thought (Michael Garfield)

Michael Garfield creates a piece of the universe, called (Zaadz) Visionary Music, which serves as  an epicenter of collective re-envisioning for the relationship among art, science, culture, business, and spirituality - the new frontier seedling for a global network of creatives eager to "put play to work" by using all creative gifts in the service of loving effort.

Michael's focus is on applying music to this very end, but he still holds a pretty broad definition of "music," where the entire world emerges from those patterns of interference between the waves, so all creative activity can be considered the song of the universe. Michael invites anyone with a passion for making art out of life to join him and the rest of the amazing people witin this community, into an exploration of this perspective's far-reaching implications.

Some of you might already know Michael Garfield, especially if you're a musician on the site. He's put an extraordinary effort into creating a compilation CD of music from other Zaadz members, from Raymond Power's beautiful Sunrise Mandala to Cari Cole's evocative Heaven, and last week, the result was released on OmStream.

The album is called "The Dream is Valid: A Benefit Compilation for Kiva.org." Michael is putting all proceeds from the CD toward Kiva, so if you'd like to contribute to the cause, or just have a listen to some of the incredible talent from the community, pop over to the page here. The songs are wonderful, the artists amazing, and I think we could all use a little more music in our lives.
