Today's Thought (Jock Doubleday)

Jock

Jock Doubleday's interests are varied, but his focus is guided by principle respective to information, which should be valued, protected and disseminated as integral to the human experience. And although we can't win every battle, we can definitely win the war. Fortunately, Jock's battles are wisely chosen, in that his independent films and self-published books do not address common issues, but those issues, which should be clearly presented to everyone who makes informed decisions.

Jock Doubleday, a self-acclaimed non-expert, is a writer and director of the California nonprofit corporation Natural Woman, Natural Man, Inc. The non-profit advocates back-to-nature practices like natural fertility (eating sprouts instead of taking fertility drugs), natural childbirth, breastfeeding (as oppposed to formula), natural immunity (good nutrition instead of vaccination-which has never been shown by science to prevent any disease), natural remedies for disease (herbs vs. drugs), and organic agriculture.

Jock's nonprofit is currently producing a feature film about vaccine-induced autism titled, "Lie of the Needle," and I am wishing along with Jock and his staff that Carrie-Anne Moss will agree to play the lead. His first nonfiction book is about 350 pages long and took about 7 years to research. It is entitled "Spontaneous Creation: 101 Reasons Not to Have Your Baby in a Hospital, volume 1," and is available as an eBook by donation only to the nonprofit (no minimum - some people have donated just a dollar, others have donated $50). Chapter excerpts can be read for free at  http://www.spontaneouscreation.org/SC/index.htm All other nonfiction books in-progress are also listed at http://www.spontaneouscreation.org/ , so feel free to peruse.

1. Jock, your interests are varied, but your focus is guided by what you feel should be valued and protected as integral to the human experience, and as I said earlier, although we can't win every battle, we can definitely win the war. I feel that your battles are wisely chosen, as your independent films and books do not address common issues, but those issues, which should be clearly presented to everyone who makes informed decisions. I'd like to begin addressing your interest in natural fertility measures. Why and how did you get into that subject along with providing alternative kinds of measures worth considering?

2. In your quest to determine, which information needs to be addressed, you had to start with those agencies, which were most accessible to the general public. We all know about the main agency Planned Parenthood and some know of their sister agencies. Are these agencies providing a public good?

3. Some agencies are under funded and have to carry out initiatives from those who fund them. How do you address issues without antagonizing these agencies, which have historically accomplished some good, but fall short today?

4. Do you have a stance on pro-choice and does this stance work philosophically with your concerns involving the civil rights of the unborn child? What of stem-cell research?

5. We all know that natural fertility begins the process in a natural pregnancy. Please explain the compound issues you wanted to address by emphasizing the importance of natural fertility and then natural pregnancy in context to the mission of Natural Woman Natural Man, Inc. (if that applies)?

6. Regarding natural pregnancy, give us a general outline of those issues you cover in context to the kind of care pregnant women should receive and advice they should follow from the first to last term of pregnancy? (Natural child birth follows to next question)

7. Jock, you speak about natural child birth in reference to your book, Spontaneous Creation: 101 Reasons Not to Have Your Baby in a Hospital, volume 1 . Tell us more about your book.  Do you make any references to Midwifery in your book? Is Midwifery in alignment with your beliefs in natural childbirth?

8. That which the expectant mother consumes impacts the fetus' health and development in utero. The infant's physical health and development are also affected by the mom's consumption postpartum through breast milk in natural feeding. Based on your research, findings, and experience what common fallacies and urban legends convince women to not chose natural childbirth and breast feeding? What needs to be explained in order to encourage them to reconsider?

9. Do you provide any information for women about postpartum depression its effects on infant health? Is there any information out there for women through general nutrition to help prevent or diminish postpartum depression or is this clinical condition inevitable for some women?

10. After giving birthing we switch our emphasis on enhancing a infant's immunity from opportunistic infections and we emphasize allergies and hypersensitivites. How will "Lie of the Needle" help you address that?

11.  Do some of your other books in-progress deliver information as continuation to what you have documented so far? When will the other books be released?

12. Do all your independent films address the same issues we are discussing? What ideas would you like your films and books to relay?   Do you have the resources and investors you need to continue your mission? How do we contribute to your cause through audience participation and sharing of our resources? (Stay Tuned!  Date to be announced!)

Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I really like to ask questions that matter to me with the objective of covering the questions other may have. Intuition helps a lot, and so does natural curiousity with a desire to learn!

Thanks again, Mila! I am encouraged!
