Nicki Scully Guides Shamanic Journeys with Bruce Lipton, Ph.D.

Nicki Scully has been teaching healing and shamanic arts and the Egyptian Mysteries since 1983. Techniques from her Alchemical Healing form are used internationally by thousands of practitioners.

Nicki Scully

She is a lineage holder in the Hermetic Tradition of Thoth and maintains the Lyceum of Shamanic Egypt. She is ordained as a priestess of Hathor by Lady Olivia Robertson, co-founder of the Fellowship of Isis. During her first tour of Egypt with the Grateful Dead in 1978, Nicki experienced an epiphany on the top of the great pyramid, and realized that her purpose in this life is to bring forth the hidden shamanic arts of Egypt. Drawing on the knowledge she has gained through decades of study and practice, she enlightens and uplifts all whom study and travel with her. In the late '80s, Nicki founded Shamanic Journeys, Ltd., and has been guiding inner journeys and spiritual pilgrimages to Egypt, Peru, Greece, and other sacred sites. Nicki lives in Eugene, Oregon, where she maintains a comprehensive healing and shamanic consulting practice. She welcomes you to study with her at her beautiful garden center.

Shamanic Mysteries of Egypt, Awakening the Healing Power of the Heart
, Nicki's new book, is co-authored with Linda Star Wolf, and has just been released. Signed copies can be ordered now. Nicki is also the author of Alchemical Healing, A Guide to Spiritual, Physical, and Transformational Medicine, and Power Animal Meditations, Shamanic Journeys with Your Spirit Allies. She has also produced a number of CDs including Awakening the Cobra and The Journey for Healing with Kuan Yin, numerous articles and audio-cassettes, and a DVD.

"Artist, philosopher, traveler, alchemist, and healer, Nicki Scully has healed herself and brought the light of healing to everyone around her," states Alberto Villoldo, PhD., Author of Shaman, Healer, Sage.

Underlying her work is the pledge to help in the healing of Mother Earth through recognition and honoring of All Our Relations. Nicki strives to fulfill her commitment by assisting others to recognize their inherent wisdom and power.

Nicki's Private sessions
in Alchemical Healing or shamanic consulting are available in person or by phone. Sessions include physical healing, spiritual counseling, totem allies, reclaiming your soul, and oracular healing.

Join Shamanic Journeys, Ltd. for the Spring 2008 pilgrimage to Egypt with Nicki Scully, & Bruce Lipton, PhD. This magical adventure joins science and spirituality to provide a deeper experience of the Mystery School rites of passage we experience in the monuments and temples of Egypt. Bruce brings his extensive scientific background in cellular biology, quantum physics, and consciousness to provide a scientific context for the initiatory processes that Nicki directs. Together they will lead you through a mystical weaving of science, spirit, and the shamanic magic of ancient Egypt.

Join me in clear, vivid conversation as Nicki and I discuss the mystery and simplicity of shamanic discovery with tour guides, which have mastered both the pilgrimage and sacred rite of passage that the journey brings! Podcast date is 04/13/08!

Here are some questions to ponder over a future discussion on her book, Alchemical Healing -- A Guide to Spiritual, Physical, and Transformational Medicine, of course, by Nicki Skully.

1. To start, Nicki, in earlier times the metaphysician was also the herbalist, shaman, mystic, surgeon, seer, counselor, artist, and minister of inspiration. If we are to reclaim our well-being heritage, is it important to know what events in history changed our cultural understanding of wellness, disease, self-healing, and the role traditional healing facilitators play?

2. In modern science we focus on chemistry as the way matter and energy interact in all systems, whereas, biochemistry is the way matter and energy interact, integral to life and consciousness on a molecular level evolving as physical beings from conception to death. How does alchemy correlate the same, but with emphasis on that shared primal intelligence, which nurtures evolution in terms of awareness?

3. What correlation exists, if in your opinion, among the following:
a). Alchemist's physical body
b). Alchemist's role as healing facilitator, and
c). The field or the (divine) matrix through which she performs alchemy

4.  From a universal standpoint, is it truly necessary that all change must occur in phases and in cycles? Share and explain some examples of phases and cycles in alchemy, please.

5. In science we observe chemical reactions in terms of equilibrium and continuum, that is to say, that there are chemical pathways that have developed in nature, which keep a system stable or in a favorable state, which is in harmony with its immediate environment. What drives the order, phases, and cycles in alchemy and how does that correlate to the 100 monkey theory or quantum leaps in collective consciousness?

6. What would you say is the Alchemist's main focus as a practitioner today? How is that reflective in the role of our present day shaman?

7. How does alchemy help the practitioner get to the root of a process' true nature and purpose from a universal mind perspective?

8. There is no solar panel more efficient than the plant's leaf. We know what goes on physically and chemically through coagulation, separation, distillation, and photosynthesis, when sunlight, soil, and water are converted to sugar cane - a dietary energy source. What takes place alchemically and what are we meant to learn from nature? Is there such a thing as supernature or the supernatural? Why must the alchemist interact on the supernatural and not simply with the fundamental nature of human awareness?

9. How does DNA connect the alchemist to karmic patterns and karmic heritage or the ability to acknowledge, interact with, and manipulate subtle energy? What should we all be doing with energy as a daily practice, Nicki?

10. In modern biology a living organism has a niche. How important is need in order to direct the flow of energy in a natural and productive way?

11. Nicki, if a healer discerns the need to use the air elemental to ease a client's dis-ease, what exactly are we drawing from the universe in that moment? What is the shaman drawing from herself in that same moment? What is being replaced?

12. Why is important to connect with the animal totems for earth healing, even today?

13. There is a difference between a slight skin irritation and a boil coming to head? What is the difference between the two and what do each mean if the skin irritation is the original symptom leading to the development of a full-blown boil?

14. The use of Akasha perspective lets a healer get ever closer to the point where a client was fully present in mind as a conscious evolving being, relatively speaking, and also in a position to integrate experiences to the simultaneous benefit of mind, body, and soul. How does the shaman ground before achieving this perspective? How important is the shaman's intent for this process to flow?

15. Is Akasha useful for past life or karmic healing? In what way?

16. How does artistic creativity enhance or connect one with his healing virtue, so to speak? What is the difference between playing a sacred instrument and using a sacred instrument with the intent to facilitate healing or help expand awareness?

17.  What is silent tone? When is this modality a more effective focus than another? Who or what in the healing paradigm determines, which modality facilitates the best outcome?

18. Some people view the skin as a veil or barrier for protection. Others consider the skin a sensory template or connection to the outside world and even the universe. With which paradigm does pore breathing best align? Why?

19. Why must all healing modalities take miracles or divine intervention as important considerations? Is there a difference between healing, self-healing, and miraculous healing?

20. In compassionate listening is it more important that the healing facilitator listen with her heart or that the healing facilitator helps the client listen with his own heart? Is there a difference between the two above mentioned?

Nicki had come to Miami a few years ago, and I had the good fortune of attending one of her meditation sessions. Very different energy; interesting. BTW, she also hosts free cancer bridge sessions. Perhaps you could ask her about it.
where will this be airing; and when?

I just asked on her the show today. She and I have a common friend and colleague named Sandra Ingerman. I have been knowing Sandra for a year now, and what is funny is that I was suppose to interview Sandra today. Instead, we kicked back and just talked about the global spiritual community and how important it is that we support each other. During the conversation she spoke of someone interacting with another colleague of mine, Bruce Lipton, and she happened to be Nicki.

I said, “Ooooh, Sandra, she sounds interesting, I want to interview her.”

So, Sandra gave me her contact info, and I emailed Nicki earlier today….here is snipet of Nicki's email-response today to me, which I feel is appropriate to share with you, because she is sooooo positive, just like Sandra is:

Hi Bryan,

Thank you for your invitation. I particularly like the way you found me. I feel the same way about Sandra- she is one of my favorite teachers out there. Impeccable comes to mind. And since I love to be in good company, of course I will be happy to do an interview with you. I assume you have been to my website, http://www.shamanicjourneys.com/. If not, check me out. Will I be able to have a direct podcast link or a podcast copy for my website?

Let me know your thoughts and your timing. Right now i'm full tilt into editing with deadlines, but should be through with this project soon.

Thanks for the invite,

Nicki Scully

(the end)

So, I was about to email her back to set up a time. When we pick that time, I will let you know in this comment, and I will post a link to this podcast right within this blog by editing it…..funny, I just left a comment in the thread you left asking about how we respond to those who post comments on our blogs….and that people sometimes leave comments suggesting comments and questions to bring up with the guests…..so, yes, I will bring up what you asked here….CHEERS!
