For 35 years, Dr. Patch Adams and the Gesundheit Institute have worked on a model of health care that puts care at the center of health. The Gesundheit model has influenced millions across the world.
Since the Hollywood movie "Patch Adams," Dr. Adams has traveled around the world advocating for health care that values joy, the health of staff, and devotion to loving service. He has heard from audiences loud and clear: "we want a place to learn what Gesundheit is doing."
Gesundheit is raising $1 million in 07-08 to create a Teaching Center and Clinic where health care practitioners will gather to further ideas and strategies for changing the health care system. Sign up for this year's trip to spread joy in Italy. This is the 6th Clown Tour in Italy. We will clown in hospitals, nursing homes, disabled centers, prisons for young people, and on the street. We will not have clown classes - this is an immersion program: the huge number of hours of experience clowning will be our best school. The School for Designing a Society is Now Accepting Applications
