Tara Brach, PhD Meditation and The Omega Institute
Tara Brach, Ph.D., is founder and senior teacher of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington, D.C. She is a practicing clinical psychologist and a lay Buddhist priest.
Brach has practiced and taught meditation since 1975. She leads retreats with Jack Kornfield and other vipassana teachers at meditation centers around the country. Her dharma talk, "The Field of Belonging," was published in the Winter/Spring 2000 issue of Awakening Mind. She is the author of Radical Self-Acceptance: Living with the Heart of a Buddha (2002).
